Industrie 1 Sport Aerobics (formally Club PJ’s) opened in 2001. Throughout this time the club has grown to be one of the largest and most successful in Australia. Together as a team, our athletes have represented Industrie 1 with pride at a state, national and international level.
Sport Aerobics is a high paced, energetic combination of choreography, strength, flexibility and fitness! It combines the specific elements of aerobics, the flexibility, strength and agility of gymnastics and the showmanship, choreography and creativity of dance!
Sport Aerobics often suits people who come from a gymnastics or dance background, but you do not require any experience to get involved. With varying levels of competition and recreational programs available, Industrie 1 Sport Aerobics welcomes everyone to come and experience this great sport.
Industrie 1 is all about fun, a positive attitude, challenging yourself and doing what you love! Our coaches, managers & studio atmosphere all promote this message… making Industrie 1 a place all athletes will feel welcome & will hopefully love as much as we do!!
Our professionally equipped studios are located at 5 Veronica Street, Capalaba Brisbane.

Pip started dancing at the age of 7 in Melbourne, her training being mainly in jazz, tap and ballet. Her dancing continued when she moved to QLD and joined ‘The Young Australian Talent Company under principal Trevor Green. In 1994 she completed her gymnastics coaching qualifications and started coaching at the QLD State training centre. During university Pip coached many gymnastics teams as well as began coaching sport aerobics at Ormiston College. After finishing a Bachelor of Education in 2000 (specialising in Physical Education) Pip opened ‘Club PJS’ at Cleveland which after 10 years was renamed ‘Industrie 1,’ and relocated to a new studio space in Capalaba. Another 10 years on and Industrie 1 Sport Aerobics has grown bigger than ever. Pips current role as the Director of School Programs has enabled her to get back to her true passion, which is working at the grass roots levels in our schools.
In 1995 Penny participated in her first school sport aerobics team. Having been training in elite gymnastics at the Victorian Institute of Sport and then The Queensland High Performance Centre, Penny soon decided that sport aerobics was her thing! She has now been involved in sport aerobics for 25 years as an athlete and coach. As an athlete she competed in numerous national championships and in 2004 represented Australia at the FISAF World Championships. After retiring as an athlete in 2004, Penny continued to coach at a state, national and international level and since 2008 has travelled as a coach with the Australian team to the FISAF World Championships. As the Director of the Industrie 1 Sport Aerobics club programs, Penny loves working with athletes of all levels to help them achieve their goals.
